Effects of Event


A festival for the Smart Factory industry, with 1,859 visitors
This conference was specially sponsored by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups hosted by Korea Technology and Information Promotion Agency for SMEs, Korea Federation of SMEs, Gyeongnam Techno Park Foundation, Busan Techno Park, Industry News, the Monthly FA Journal SMART FACTORY. Sharing of information and exchange of opinions on the market trends and technical development of the global Smart Factory industry took place. It was held to contribute to the development of Korea’s Smart Factory industry, expand the market and lead technological development, and was a great success.
A variety of specialized programs were held throughout 27 sessions
During the event, a total of 27 lecture programs were held for working-level staff of the companies which carry forward the Smart Factory business. The lectures were divided into Tracks A, B, C, according to the themes R&D, Design & Plan, Business & Application, and Analytics & Integration.
Product demonstrations and exhibitions of Smart Factory solutions were made
Key suppliers of Smart Factory establishment and introduction participated in the event, exhibiting and demonstrating their companies’ products. They actively interacted with the people in charge at manufacturing companies, who are the actual users. They exchanged information for enhancing and innovating the competence of the Korean manufacturing industry.
A survey of visitors was conducted to understand their interests in Smart Factory, and to provide statistical data
A survey was conducted with the working-level experts from manufacturing companies as the subject during the ‘International Smart Factory Expo & Conference 2019’ period. It provided information on their fields of interest, and statistical data.
A standard for the Smart Factory industry was established, contributing to the enhancement of national competitiveness
Through the International Smart Factory Expo & Conference 2018, the industry standard for the Smart Factory industry was established by suggesting practical guidelines and case studies for process improvement to enhance companies’ productivity. It contributed to the enhancement of national competitiveness through the technical development and market advantage of Korean companies.
